What We Believe

We believe there is only ONE true and living God.  He is the Eternal, Self-Existent “I AM”, who has revealed Himself as ONE, co-existing in three Persons (The Trinity): Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, pre-existent before the World.  He is the living Word of God.  The Word became flesh and was born of a virgin.  He was sinless; He was crucified. He is risen and He is returning.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, the Holy Spirit comes and lives within us. We cannot come to Christ unless the Holy Spirit draws us unto Him. The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin and convinces us that we need a Savior.

We believe Salvation is accomplished through the work of Christ’s death on the cross on our behalf. It is received as a gift of God through faith, when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

We believe Baptism is by immersion in water of the believer to symbolize the believer’s death to the old life and their resurrection to new life in Jesus Christ.

We believe the Church is a local group of baptized believers bound together in a common faith in Christ.  We meet weekly to learn about Jesus, so we can become light in a dark world - and promote the Kingdom of God.
